Established in 1947 and employing over 250 staff across three sites, in Ashford, Bath and Chester, Jacksons Fencing is a leading UK designer, manufacturer, marketer and installer of innovative, premium quality timber and steel fencing, gates, acoustic barriers, automation and integrated perimeter security solutions.

Our products are backed by extraordinary levels of Customer service, the flexibility to meet Customer needs, market leading value and best in class performance guarantees.

Reporting to the CEO with dotted line accountability to Security Sales Director, the role is to lead and manage our Contracts teams covering the installation of security fencing, gates, acoustic barriers, Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems, intrusion deterrents, gate automation and access control.

The role includes the management of internal staff, direct and sub-contracted resources, liaison with other internal departments, clients and their advisors in the delivery of installation contracts, on time and on budget.

You will also work closely with the Tenders, Sales, Operations, HSE, Quality, Transport and Financial teams across all aspects of the business as they relate to the efficient delivery of design and build contracts ranging in value to in excess of £1m, specifically:

· Management and delivery of multiple projects simultaneously through direct and sub-contracted resources

· Working with Tenders to deliver competitive quotations through best practice while maintaining margins

· Ensuring the delivery of a quality project across all aspects of a contract from Customer Service to final handover

• Leading and motivating the team to deliver consistently on financial and delivery KPI’s on a day to day basis

· Maximising productivity through efficiency to create capacity for continued, profitable growth

· Working with the CEO and Quality Manager in the on-going implementation of continuous improvement through the TQM programme and application of best practice

• Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and high expectations

· Accountability for the documentation and implementation of SOP’s, Health & Safety practices on site and adherence to the Company’s health and safety and environment policies

Ideally from an ISO9001 accredited background and with experience of working with direct and sub-contracted labour in a construction environment, the successful candidate will posses well developed and proven people and communication skills, matched by vision, determination, a responsive can-do attitude and an inclusive hands-on operating style.
This is a key role in a diverse and challenging environment requiring the flexibility to operate both from the office and onsite and while experience in delivering perimeter fencing contracts would be an advantage it is not a prerequisite.

The executive package includes company car, performance bonus and subject to qualifying periods, eligibility to join the Company’s private healthcare and contributory pension scheme.

Relocation expenses will be considered for the right applicant.
